This is a bi-weekly column about microcelebrities - the often accidental stars of the viral videos and jpegs crowding our inboxes.

A Christian band, apparently adrift in the late 1970s, rocks its way through a tight little ska tune: "He taught me how to pray/and how to save my soul./He taught me how to praise my God and still play rock and roll." Everybody's dressed in shades of blue, swaying stiffly, looking like elementary-school teachers cutting loose in the staff room. The men wear vests; their collars are too big. The guitarist, in grey suede shoes, thrashes away. "He is like a Mountie," sings the band's incredibly earnest front man in more innocent, pre-Taser days.
